Band Numbering Stamps Can Do Many Jobs

Band numbering stamps are very useful for stamping numbers or alpha-numeric codes that change or are temporary. If you are stamping information that does not change, a standard rubber stamp may prove easier to use.

There are 3 types of band stamps

Band Numberers: Standard figure bands have 13 positions on each band: 0-9 and some ancillary characters like - / $ # and fractions. Not every band has every character so please specify what you need. This may result in a custom assembly at extra cost.

Commonly used band numbers can be purchased online below.

Alphabet stamps: These have 26 positions per band and you can specify two types of band: A-Z or 0-9.

Alpha-Numeric stamps: Each band has both A-Z and 0-9.

Why are some models now unavailable?

Consolidated Stamp, one of the two remaining manufactures of band stamps, has closed. Justrite, the other manufacturer has a more restricted line.

The Following Range of Band Stamps is Now Available:

Band Numberers:
Old sizes: 1/16”, 3/32”, 1/8”, 5/32”, 3/16”, 1/4”, 5/16”, 1/2”, 5/8”, 3/4”, 1”
Old styles: Condensed Gothic, Gothic, Times Roman

The new sizes are: 1/16” (2mm), 1/8” (3mm), 5/32” (4mm), 3/16” (5mm), 9/32” (7mm), 3/8” (9mm), 1/2” (12mm), 5/8” (15mm), 3/4” (18mm)
New style: Only Gothic is avaiable now.

These stamps are still customizable with a variety of bands, including fraction, date and half-alphabet bands. Bands with custom characters are also still availabl

Self-Inking Numbers:
Now available in: 1/16” (2mm), 1/8” (3mm), 5/32” (4mm), 3/16” (5mm), 9/32” (7mm), 3/8” (9mm) and 1/2” (12mm) in the direct action self-inker
These stamps are still customizable with a variety of bands, including fraction, date and half-alphabet bands. Bands with custom characters are also still available.

Alphabet Stamps:
They are only available in the 3/16” (5mm) size.
The Direct Action Self-inker is still availablei in the 1/8” (3mm), 3/16” (5mm), 9/32” (7mm) sizes, 3/8” (9mm) and 1/2” (12mm). (Note sizes above 3/16” don’t contain the full alphabet.)

PLEASE NOTE:
Alphabet and Alpha-Numeric stamps do not come with a blank space. If you require one, please specify this and we will have a character shaved off, usually the period, at no additional cost.

Alphanumeric Stamps:
Now available in 1/8” size only.

Note - There is some variation in sizes from the different manufacturers of band stamps. Impression sizes are also approximate due to ink spread into the paper and compression of the rubber type.

Note - these online numberers are the most commonly used ones — other combinations can be custom made to your order including combinations of letter bands & figure bands. Custom stamps will require extra time and expense to make. Allow one week manufacturing time plus shipping time. Please contact us for further details.
